The 21st century in the Princes Czartoryski Museum in Krakow

The renovation and modernisation of the Princes Czartoryski Museum in Krakow is currently one of the most important museum projects in Poland. Its primary aim is to adapt the oldest Polish museum to the standards of the 21st century and to continue the “Past for the Future” mission that was established by Princess Izabela Czartoryska, who opened the first Polish national museum – the Temple of Remembrance, later called the Temple of the Sibyl – – in Puławy in 1801.

Support provided by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through co-financing with the funds of the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism.
